Wisconsin Badgers football received a cornerback problem this summer when their veteran Nyzier Fourqurean, their undisputed best CB from 2024 season together with Ricardo Hallman, was ruled out by the NCAA due to eligibility issues. CB coach Paul Haynes is hard at work looking for a replacement but he is still taking his time.

One name that is sure to be a starter for them is Hallman. The CB opposite him is yet to be determined but the younger players are proving themselves as they vie for that spot.
Haynes said he got at least two names that are proven fighters based on the reps they had over the last two months. They are Omillio Agard and D’Yoni Hill.
“As of right now, it’ll be a rotation,” Haynes told reporters as quoted by Badger Notes.
“I think both of those guys have had a good camp and played well enough that both of them deserve to play. I haven’t really thought about it on the percentage of it [snaps], but both of those guys will play for us.”

Senior Hill boasts experience compared to other CBs, having played for Marshall Thundering Herd from 2022-2023 and Miami Hurricanes last season.
Agard, meanwhile is a freshman, who was contented into an observer last season but is now eager to prove himself.
Paul Haynes asks for more physicality from Ricardo Hallman
Hallman has established himself as a reliable CB for Badgers last season. He was the least targeted among his peers.
However, Haynes said there’s still something he needs to improve. Former Badgers and program legend Jamar Fletcher is there for him to help.

“Jamar Fletcher talked to him,” Haynes said.
“And Jamar is a small guy of stature, but he was just like, man, even as a small dude, you’ve got to be able to tackle. If you want to go to the next level, you’ve got to be physical. You’ve got to be tackling. So, that was the one thing that we challenged Rico on: change his body, which he did. You can see him being more physical in camp and tackling, block destruction.”
