Another day, another recruit for Luke Fickell and his staff. The past two days have been full of big news for the Wisconsin Badgers. Three recruits have committed in the past two days. Two of them were flipped for Fickell’s previous position at Cincinnati. This afternoon, Fickell and his staff scored another 3-star recruit. Wisconsin adds 3-star LB Christian Alliegro to the 2023 recruiting class.

Wisconsin Adds LB Christian Alliegro To 2023 Class
Alliegro is a 6’3″ 220 pound prospect out of Avon, Connecticut. He is the 7th ranked LB in the state. He had offers from Minnesota and Wake Forest as well but Alliegro decided to come to Madison. This is another huge win for the Badgers. Not only is it another 3-star recruit to add to the class, it steals a prospect from a Big Ten rival in Minnesota. With Nick Herbig leaving for the NFL, LB is a position that the Badgers are looking to replenish.
Will All Of These Commits Translate To Wins?
The news is great right now. On paper, the Badgers are getting a slew of great players to come to their program. However, simply getting good recruits does not mean that it will translate to success on the field. Look at Texas A&M this year. They had the no. 1 recruiting class and their season was awful. It is definitely up to Luke Fickell and his staff to coach up these players. This news paired with all of the news of coaching hires is what makes this exciting. Wisconsin is not only getting the players but they are also getting the coaches to develop those players.
Wisconsin adding another 3-star recruit in Christian Alliegro is huge. This is three straight days with a 3-star recruit committing to the Badgers. Because of all of the decommits, Wisconsin currently ranks 12th in the Big Ten for the 2023 recruiting class. It will be interesting to see where they are in a month after Fickell and his staff are done with recruiting.
