Willy Adames recently signed a seven year, $182 million contract with the San Francisco Giants. Following the announcement, his former manager from the Milwaukee Brewers shared a piece of advice with him. This news, among other things, was included during Pat Murphy’s interview at the MLB Winter Meetings.
Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy gave Willy Adames one piece of advice following the announcement of a monster contract
Pat Murphy informed the baseball world that he was happy for Willy Adames following him signing with the San Francisco Giants. He reiterated the point that this game is about the players, but he did give Adames one piece of advice. Via text Murphy told Adames, “Willy, remember what makes you great. It’s who you are.”
Pat Murphy was asked about his MLB Winter Meetings wish list
MLB Winter Meetings is a busy time in which a lot of trades and signings typically occur. While the front office handles these transactions, Pat Murphy was asked to provide a vague wish list as to additions he would like to see the Brewers make. He responded by saying that he wanted to add “hungry players” because his organization’s budget is limited and adding players who possess that quality has resulted in success in the past.
Undaunted was referenced during Pat Murphys interview
Pat Murphy was also asked about the possibility of losing closer Devin Williams this off-season. In response, Murphy emphasized the need for him and the team to remain “undaunted.” This word, which perfectly encapsulated the resilience and determination that defined the 2024 Brewers, may very likely come into play again in 2025.
