Why the Packers Can Have the Best Offensive Line

Aaron Rodgers certainly has something that will keep him with the Packers, which is the great offensive line they have. The Packers had the second ranked offensive line outside of the Cleveland Browns last season. They will indeed have quite the make over on the offensive line this season, but still expect the Packers to have a one of the best in the NFL. Here is why the Packers can have the best offensive line this season.

    Good Coaching

Green Bay Packers: Adam Stenavich Deserves Plenty of Credit for OL's Success

The Packers have had good coaching on the offensive line for many years. They had James Campen and now currently have Adam Stenavich. Stenavich is a really underrated coach for the Packers as he has helped coach a top notch group in 2020. Thanks to him, Elgton Jenkins and David Bahktiari were pro bowlers last season. In addition, Corey Linsley was the rated the best center in the NFL and was an all-pro. He did a good job when the Packers suffered injuries on the offensive line and still made sure the replacements were ready to play. Even with key pieces leaving in the offseason, Adam Stenavich should have the group ready.

Heavy On Offensive Line In The Draft

Green Bay Packers select OL Cole Van Lanen at No. 214 overall in 2021 draft

The Packers goal was clearly to make sure Aaron Rodgers was protected and address the offensive line this season. They went heavy on the offensive line in a deep draft class full of them this year. The Packers got many talented players in the draft and some may become starters this year. When it comes to the offensive line, they have a eye for talent at that position. The history on the Packers drafting offensive linemen is pretty good as they drafted numerous pro bowlers as T.J. Lang, David Bahktiari, and Josh Sitton for good examples. Thanks to the draft, Packers have a good amount of pieces to place on that group this season.

Josh Myers Looks To Be Corey Linsley’s Replacement

Josh Myers' toughness, athleticism, and intangibles made him an Packers target - Acme Packing Company

Josh Myers was drafted in the second round of this years draft. He is expected to be the replacement of Corey Linsley who left in free agency. Center was the position that was a big need and Myers can hopefully fill it. Just like Linsley, Meyers is another center from Ohio State in which that college has produced some good ones. He has some similarities to him as well, but more bigger, can get to the second level faster, and is a perfect fit for the system the Packers run. Josh Myers is in the running for the starting job at center, but has some big shoes to fill replacing the Corey Linsley who was the best last season.

    Good Depth and Versatile Players

What Will the Packers Offensive Line Look Like in 2021?The Packers currently have thirteen players for the offensive line going into training camp. The have a lot of bodies and competition for some spots on the roster along the offensive line. They are going to be some tough cuts for them this season as the Packers have a lot of talent. Also, there are guys who can play multiple positions along the line which will help when injuries occur. As it was seen in the playoffs without David Bahktiari, more depth could’ve been key as the Packers got steamed rolled in the NFC Championship. With the depth and versatility the Packers offensive line can once again be one of the best in NFL.
