- Went to training camp with the New Orleans Saints in 2002 and played in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Rush, Colorado Crush, and Las Vegas Gladiators from 2003-05
- Following the 2014 season, was promoted to the co-defensive coordinator at Oklahoma and was named Scout.com’s Big 12 Recruiter of the Year.
- Has overseen the development of DL Kenny Clark, who has earned two Pro Bowl selections (2019, 2021) under the guidance of Montgomery.
- Originally joined the Packers on Feb. 12, 2015, as a defensive front assistant before being promoted to defensive line coach on Jan. 24, 2018.

Montgomery was born in Los Angeles, California but graduated from Virgin Valley High School in Mesquite, Nevada. He then went to the University of Iowa where he played for four years. He played three years of arena football before transitioning into coaching full time.
