The Green Bay Packers shut out the New Orleans Saints 34-0 on Monday night football. With the win, the Packers improved to 11-4 on the season and clinched a playoff spot in the NFC. With the loss for the Saints, they fall to 5-10 on the season.
This year, Green Bay is the first team to shut out another NFL team. The Packers can not win the division, but Green Bay can get the fifth seed in the NFC. One of the players who did not suit up once again for the Green Bay Packers on Monday night was cornerback Jaire Alexander.
Green Bay Packers Fans Were Not Thrilled When Jaire Alexander Was Ruled Out Once Again Against the New Orleans Saints
On Monday night before the game, the Packers ruled out the star cornerback. He has not played since 11/17 against the Chicago Bears. It will also be interesting to see if he is ready to play against the Minnesota Vikings next week. If Alexander does play in the game, he will most likely be going up against Justin Jefferson.
This is how the Packers fanbase reacted to Jaire Alexander being ruled out once again on Tuesday night:
Well that’s not great

Jaire Embiid.

Many fans claim that Jaire Alexander didn’t play against the New Orleans Saints to potentially dodge Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings. This season, Alexander has 16 tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, one touchdown, and seven pass deflections.
Cornerback Help In 2025 NFL Draft
It feels like at some point the Packers will have to decide on what to do with Jaire Alexander. If he doesn’t suit up against the Minnesota Vikings next week, then Green Bay can very well move on from him this offseason. They could very well find his replacement in the 2025 NFL Draft.
There is no doubt that cornerback will be the number one seed for Green Bay this offseason. If Alexander were to be released or traded this offseason, they would be relieved of some money.
