The Milwaukee Brewers’ offense is truly missing Willy Adames. The offense is missing a bit of pop in the lineup, which makes sense as Adames is tied for the team lead in home runs with nine. Unfortunately, Adames has been sidelined with an ankle injury. Though he is not expected to be back in Milwaukee until after the upcoming Cubs series, he has started his rehab down with the Carolina Mudcats. In his first game with them, he ripped a booming home run to right field.

Willy Adames got off to a slow start in 2022. However, he started to get hot right before his injury. As mentioned, he is tied for the team lead in home runs. Many of those came during the first week of May when he was the NL Player of the Week. During that week, Adames hit .310 with four home runs and 10 RBI. On the season, Adames is hitting .208/.304/.462 with those nine home runs and 24 RBI.
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired Adames last season via a trade. With the Brewers last season, he hit .285/.366/.521 with 20 home runs and 58 RBI.
The Injury Bug Has Bit the Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers have had more than their fair share of injuries early in the season. Along with Willy Adames, the Brewers recently added Luis Perdomo to the injured list. Freddy Peralta and Hunter Renfroe, too, have each been added to the IL. Josh Hader missed a few games this season, too, as he tended to his pregnant wife who was facing complications related to the pregnancy.
