2021 was Rashan Gary‘s first year as a full-time starter. With Za’Darius Smith sideline most of the season, and the only other consistent pass rusher being Preston Smith, it was Gary’s time to shine. And boy did he…. During his first year as a starter, Gary led the league in quarterback pressures through Week 12 of the season. He finished with a career-high 9.5 sacks and 81 pressures. He recorded 42 total tackles and forced two fumbles. He’s spent this off-season getting even better.
Gary’s Off-season Workouts:
Pass rush specialist Brandon Jordan is a member of Michigan State’s defensive staff. Jordan, though coaching for one of Gary’s college rivals, is known for his ability to work with pass rushers on their footwork, hands and hips.

Gary’s hands looks quick and violent:

And it looks like he took his footwork, burst and speed to another level:

Gary is coming off an already career year in 2021. All signs point to him topping that in 2022. He is looking freakishly athletic, even more so than last year.
