Tom Brady looks pretty good to Matt LaFleur
The Green Bay Packers are getting ready to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. The game will feature an intriguing matchup of two of this period’s best quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady.
Brady has gotten the best of Rodgers in their five previous head-to-head matchups. Brady is 2-0 against Rodgers since he’s joined the Buccaneers. The most recent matchup between the two was the 2021 NFC Championship game, when the Buccaneers won 31-26 to go on to eventually win Super Bowl LV.
This might be the final matchup between Rodgers and Brady. Rodgers, age 38, and Brady, age 45, are close to retirement. Even in their old age as NFL quarterbacks, the two have continued to play at an elite level. Last season, Aaron Rodgers won his second MVP title in a row. Brady was second in the vote tally.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked what he thought Brady’s level of play at his age. LaFleur, who is a little less than three years Brady’s junior, gave an expletive-laden response. The moment was captured by Zach Jacobson of CBS Sports:

Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, LaFleur apologized for the wording while glancing at a member of the Packers PR team, and praised Brady’s play.
“He looks pretty good to me.,” LaFleur said.

Brady is good, but the Packers will have their chances
Tom Brady is still playing well this season. But the Buccaneers’ offense has had moments that show their mortality. Brady recently threw a fit about how the offense was playing in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.
The Packers look like they’re coming together after a Week 2 win against the Chicago Bears. The team’s rushing attack was on fire Sunday night, as they gained over 200 yards on the ground. The defense played excellent against the pass, keeping Bears quarterback Justin Fields from throwing for 100 yards passing. That stifling defense will be needed to frustrate the Buccaneers in Week 3.
