Patrick Mahomes is truly one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. Very few accomplish in a career what he did in his first few seasons. One of the things that he is best known for is his tendency to throw no-look passes very accurately. This season, Mahomes will have a new weapon to throw to, former Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (MVS). During a recent interview, MVS was asked if he was ready to catch those no-look passes from Mahomes. MVS had a brilliant reminder for the Chiefs reporters.

MVS: “I Had the First Quarterback That Did It”

Aaron Rodgers was throwing no-look passes before Patrick Mahomes
Many people incorrectly assume Patrick Mahomes was the first to throw no-look passes in NFL games.

One of the things that drives Packers fans crazy is how Patrick Mahomes is celebrated for being the first quarterback to pull off some of the amazing throws that he does. Of course, he is an incredible talent and not every quarterback can do what he does. However, has MVS stated in his interview, Mahomes is definitely not the first:

Aaron Rodgers Once Joked About the Mahomes Praise

The Aaron Rodgers appearances on The Pat McAfee Show have become something that many Packers fans look forward to. Back in 2020, McAfee joked about how he was so glad that Patrick Mahomes brought the no-look pass to the NFL. Aaron Rodgers had a great response:

Pat McAfee: I'm so thankful Patrick Mahomes brought the no-look pass to the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers: Yeah I know. Since none of us have been doing it for a long time. 🙄

Rodgers then goes on and praises Matthew Stafford and says he doesn't get enough credit. pic.twitter.com/bXOyS354s7

For anyone wondering, here is the no-look pass Rodgers referenced in his interview:

I believe this is the no-look pass @AaronRodgers12 mentioned on @PatMcAfeeShow today. Hard to tell on the TV copy or All-22, but watch the replay and you can see 12's eyes looking right and then he slings it back to his left. I could be overthinking it too lol. pic.twitter.com/QEnqWA35mp

And just because they’re cool, here’s a no-look pass Aaron Rodgers threw in 2019:

Just one more, this one from his own end zone, thrown 40 yards to Davante Adams:
