Johnny Davis was one of the best players in all of college basketball this past season. The Wisconsin Badgers sophomore averaged 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game on his way to being a John Wooden Award finalist. Davis is widely considered to be a lottery pick and has worked out for several teams. He recently worked out for the Indiana Pacers, who own the sixth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Johnny Davis Has a NBA Pedigree
As many people in Wisconsin know, Johnny Davis is the son of Mark Davis, who played a single season in the NBA. After being drafted with the ninth pick of the fourth round of the 1985 draft, Davis played 31 games for the Milwaukee Bucks. He also played two games for the Phoenix Suns. Interestingly, he was drafted by neither team. The Cleveland Cavaliers were the team that selected him.
Despite playing just one season in the NBA, Mark Davis had a 13-year professional basketball career. In addition to several stops playing in Europe, Davis played for the La Crosse Catbirds. The Catbirds are a member of the Continental Basketball Association. Davis won the league championship with them in 1992. The late Flip Saunders of NBA fame was the head coach of the team.
Johnny Davis Would Be the Second Person of that Name to Play for the Indiana Pacers

If the Indiana Pacers select Johnny Davis with the sixth overall pick, he will become the second Johnny Davis to play for the team. Johnny Reginald Davis played for the Pacers from 1978-1982. In those four seasons, he averaged 16.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.
