Brook Lopez and the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Toronto Raptors 130-122 on Tuesday night. The game itself was a back-and-forth affair. The Bucks used a hot third quarter to pull away from the Raptors. Late in the fourth quarter, Defensive Player of the Year candidate Brook Lopez got entangled with Gary Trent Jr. of the Raptors. After Trent said something to Lopez, the Bucks center flipped Trent’s headband off of his head. What ensued was a scuffle that led to Lopez’s first career ejection.
Brook Lopez Gave a Hilarious Interview Following the Game
Fortunately, Jrue Holiday’s heroics led the Bucks to victory. Following the game, Bally Sports Wisconsin’s Zora Stephenson interviewed Lopez, asking him about his ejection. Whereas many other NBA stars might have been intense and angry, Lopez was light-hearted and sarcastic.

On what had him the most frustrated about the situation:
“Um, I don’t know. I can’t expect the refs to get it right. If they’re not going to get it right during the game, why are they going to get it right when they replay it? Or any other calls, you know? It is what is. I make mistakes, you make mistakes, Eric makes less mistakes than us probably. But they make mistakes too, and they made mistakes tonight. And it is what is, you know? They’re human, they’re fallible. Even with they help of replay, they still have a tough time, so it’s cool.
Stephenson then asked him if he watched the rest of the game from the locker room:
“I did! It was fun, it was fun! Basketball is a fun game, how about that?”
Brook Lopez and the Bucks will enjoy a rare couple of days off before resuming play on Saturday in Cleveland.
