The Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t miss anything on Saturday afternoon. Their pitchers, on the other hand, kept the opponents’ offense at bay, allowing the Rangers just three hits all game. This was a great game for fans to be introduced to some new faces, but also may have cost the team their third baseman for a while.
Scoring Early and Often
The Milwaukee Brewers got on the board early. Pedro Severino hit his first home run of the spring in his first at bat with the Brewers.

Severino was signed to compete for the backup catching job behind Omar Narvaez. Presumably, Severino will be competing with Mario Feliciano, who himself had a nice spring debut on Friday.
Rowdy Drives Home a Run
Unless something drastic changes, Rowdy Tellez will most likely be the Brewers starting first baseman this year. A day after Keston Hiura went 0-3 at the plate while starting at first, Tellez went 1-3 with this RBI knock:

First base remains a major question mark for the Brewers, who have had a different player starting at first in every single Opening Day since Prince Fielder left. In 56 games with the Brewers last season, Tellez hit .272/.333/.481 with seven home runs and 28 RBI. Over the course of a full 162 game season, that equates to about 20 home runs and 75 RBI.
Luis Urias Injured
Luis Urias started the game at short stop and drove in a run in his only official at bat. Unfortunately, Urias left the game after digging for third on a Severino double. He has a quad injury, but the severity of the injury will not be known until today. Adam McCalvy had asked manager Craig Counsell about the injury after the game:

Urias emerged as a massive fan favorite last year just as he emerged as the Brewers answer at third base. Last season, Wicho hit .249/.345/.445 with 23 home runs and 75 RBI.
