Much talk has been made about the Packers’ number one wide receiver position this off-season. Many have called for the Green Bay Packers to signed a free agent wide receiver. Many have thought that Sammy Watkins could be the answer. And many have thought that Allen Lazard could step in and fill that role. Lazard is doing himself many favors by making plays so far during training camp, that was no different during training camp.

Was it a catch? That is for you to determine, but it would appear the ref called touchdown on the field. Either way it was extremely impressive to see Lazard go up and snag the ball against one of the top cornerbacks in the league.
Lazard Showed Out At Home:
Green Bay Packers family night is a tradition that could never be replicated. 70,000+ fans fill Lambeau Field to watch a practice. It has been a tradition in Green Bay for years. Tonight was Family Night and Allen Lazard came to play in front of the home crowd.
Last season Lazard finished with 40 receptions, just over 500 yards, and eight touchdowns. He did this on only 60 targets all season. To put that into perspective, Davante Adams had 169 targets last year. Giving Allen Lazard even 75 to 80% of the targets Adams had last year should result in a much better season. Possibly even a “number one wide receiver” caliber season.
