London has a lot of Packers and Aaron Rodgers fans
The Green Bay Packers may be in London in Week 5, but it’s closer to a home game for them on the field. Packers fans are known for traveling, but the amount of Packers fans in attendance was eye-opening Sunday. Commentators noticed the attendance disparity between Packers fans and New York Giants fans. It was a boost for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who said he’s excited to play in London this week.
This is a Packers home game and will be a decidedly Packers crowd. Giants fans travel well. This is the first time the Packers have ever played in London and the green and gold from Green Bay came out in force.

The heavily jersey-clad fanbase gave Rodgers an incredible welcome before the game. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic showed footage of the fans sending a loud cheer in support when Rodgers was introduced.

They appear to love Rodgers overseas. Rodgers has respect for the history of sports in London as well. Earlier this week, Rodgers wore a Manchester City jersey on a podcast recording. Packers fans were loud at the beginning of the game as well, as chants of “Go, Pack, Go” were heard in the telecast Sunday morning.
