Aaron Rodgers has been known to let the public know how he feels about certain topics. He has gone out of his way over the last few years to do this. To ensure the public regularly hears from him. Most notably it has been during his weekly in-season appearances on the Pat McAfee Show. However, lately, he has also taken to podcasting. Aaron Rodgers has appeared on many different podcasts over the last year or so. Some have been to talk about his personal life or just have a little fun with rival fans. A video surfaced from a few months ago during a podcast that had Aaron Rodgers talking about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Aaron Rodgers Asked What He Hates Most About The NFL
Rodgers appeared on a podcast before the NFL season with Caleb Pressley. One of the very first questions he was asked was “what makes you the maddest about the NFL?” After being taken back by the question, Aaron Rodgers thought about it and then gave his answer:
Probably the Commissioner. Rodgers was then asked, “What’s up with that dude?” Rodgers responded with “It’s the hugs at the draft that I just…”
It was pretty telling that in a light-hearted interview Aaron Rodgers dropped that bomb. The hug that Rodgers is referring to happens on draft nights when draftees names are called. They usually always walk out onto the stage and Roger Goodell greets them with a big hug. Aaron Rodgers and Roger Goodell haven’t always seen eye to eye on things.
In 2016 Aaron Rodgers commented on Roger Goodell and the league’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, signed in 2011. He spoke with the Jim Rome Show, via ESPN.com’s Jason Wilde:
If that is the case, we have nobody to blame but ourselves. Because we had the opportunity in the CBA to make some legitimate changes to that. I think there was probably too much pressure to come to a deal when we had all the power on our side.
That was something we should have had negotiated into the CBA because there shouldn’t be somebody who is the judge, jury and executioner, as they say.
Once again in 2020 he adamantly voted “no” on the idea of 18 games in an NFL season and took to Twitter to voice his opinion.

Subtly there has been grief between Aaron Rodgers and the commissioner for some time. It certainly came out in this video.
