Two Former Badgers In Super Bowl LVII
There is one Badger on each side. For the Eagles, linebacker T.J. Edwards will represent Wisconsin. He played in Madison from 2015-2018 and earned First Team All-American in 2017. This year for the Eagles, he has set a career-high in pretty much every statistical category tallying 159 total tackles. For the Chiefs, rookie Leo Chanel will represent Wisconsin. He played in Madison from 2019-2021 before he was selected in the third round by the Chiefs. He had 35 total tackles as a rookie.
Continuing The Tradition Of Greatness
Wisconsin has had a long list of players that have done well in the NFL. While the Wisconsin program has had its ups and downs, they have consistently been able to send great talent to the NFL. This looks to continue this season as Keeanu Benton and Nick Herbig are players that should be good value for teams in the later rounds. With Luke Fickell getting the best recruits in school history, this tradition looks to continue.
This will not be the last time that former Badgers are in the Super Bowl. With the amount of talent that is coming into the program, it is only a matter of time before it starts flowing into the NFL as well.
