The Green Bay Packers kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling win in Miami on Sunday. The Packers (7-8) have put themselves in a position to make the playoffs if they win their final two games. The Dolphins find themselves in a similar position. They must win their final two games of the season in order to have a chance to make the playoffs. However, they may have to do so without Tua Tagovailoa.
Tua Tagovailoa Injury Surfaces After Loss To Packers
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has entered the NFL’s concussion protocol. This came one day after the team’s loss Sunday to the Green Bay Packers, coach Mike McDaniel said.
McDaniel said Tagovailoa displayed and admitted to having concussion symptoms when he spoke with team doctors Monday. He was immediately placed into the protocol. He added that he’s unsure on which play Tagovailoa might have initially suffered the concussion. This is the second time this season that Tagovailoa has been in the concussion protocol. Many think the below play is when the concussion may have occurred:

Mike McDaniels comment on the situation after it was announced he was entering the protocol:
“I just want guys to really be done right by, by the information we have, the science and all the medical expertise that we rely on,” McDaniel said. “I care very deeply about each and every player, I take that very serious. I just want him to get healthy and have peace of mind in that regard. … It’s about the human being and making sure he’s squared away.”
This is concerning going forward not only for Tua’s playing career but his general livelihood. We will see what comes of this in the coming days and if this drastically impacts the Dolphins’ season. We hope this is just a temporary injury and has no long-lasting effects.
Meanwhile, the Packers will face the Vikings on Sunday at Lambeau Field. It will be a must-win if Green Bay wants to continue their improbable playoff push. Green Bay will need one loss from the Commanders in their final two games in order to secure that final playoff spot. All of a sudden Green Bay has found themselves in a position to fight for a playoff push.
