The Green Bay Packers fell to 4-8 on the season, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-33. While the loss is disappointing, there were several bright spots that can give Packers fans hope for a bright future, even if it doesn’t come until next season. At the same time, there were several poor performances that highlight the woes that have plagued the Packers all season long.
Three Studs
To be quite honest, there were quite a few very good individual performances from Packers players in this game. Since only three are labeled studs, it is only right to highlight those other performances that could have made the list.
- Quay Walker had 11 tackles and nearly returned a fumble for a touchdown

- Rudy Ford had nine tackles and forced the fumble that Walker recovered.
- Aaron Jones had 99 all-purpose yards and a touchdown.
- AJ Dillon had 88 all-purpose yards and a touchdonw.
- Newcomer Justin Hollins had two tackles, both of which were for loss (one was a sack).
Jordan Love
When Aaron Rodgers went down with a rib injury, the Packers sent in Jordan Love for his first real action of the season. Love delivered a performance better than many may have expected. He finished 6/9 for 113 yards and a touchdown. While Rodgers may not miss any time with his injuries, Love’s performance will be the talk of Packers social media for the remainder of the season. Simply put: he looked GOOD!. Will there come a point when Matt LaFleur names him the starter?

Christian Watson
Remember when a very vocal portion of Packers fans had labeled Christian Watson a bust? It seems so long ago as Watson has started racking up yards and touchdowns. On this night, he finished with four receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Keisean Nixon
It has been so long since the Packers have had a return specialist that is exciting to watch. After finally moving on from Amari Rodgers, the Packers gave the returner role to Keisean Nixon. Against the Eagles, Nixon had five kick returns for 172 yards. There were several that he returned to midfield as he averaged 34.4 yards per return. There have been a great deal of losses and frustrations this season, but at least the Packers have finally found a returner.

Three Duds
Instead of listing and discussing the three duds as usual, let’s make it very simple. The three duds are as follows: Joe Barry, the run defense, and Joe Barry. Once again, the defense looked completely unprepared to face a running quarterback, and once again the defense gave up an insane amount of rushing yards. The Eagles ran for 363 yards as a team, averaging 7.4 yards per rush.
This loss falls squarely on the shoulders of the defense. The offense put up 33 points. That should have been enough.
