Three Reasons Packers will beat the Lions

The Packers already hosted Detroit earlier this season and won in a blowout. The 42-21 victory really set the standard for what the offense can look like every week. Now in week 14, Detroit will try to redeem themselves at home in what’s becoming a lost season for them. However, they will certainly look to play spoiler to Green Bay’s first-round bye dreams.

    1. Aaron Rodgers

The season is coming to a close, and Aaron Rodgers has his goals clearly ahead of him. Green Bay is one game out of a first-round bye, and Aaron Rodgers’ MVP campaign is making some noise. Rodgers is playing like the best quarterback in football and will look to dominate a team that’s playing bad on the defensive side of the ball. The week two matchup gave the Lions a great mix of the ground and air game, but since then the passing attack has taken over. Look for number 12 to get hot and lead the Packers to another high scoring performance.

    2. Defense Trending Up

In the last two weeks against weak offenses, the Packers defense has been able to both get the quarterback and the football. Darnell Savage is playing his best ball with three interceptions in two weeks. Detroit will be without Kenny Golliday again, but Matthew Stafford can still make plays. However, it may not be enough with the way Za’Darius Smith and company have been rushing the passer.

    3. Davante Adams

Usually in this matchup, Adams would be lined up across Darius Slay, but he took care of that last week. The Lions’ top pick Jeff Okudah is also out with an injury. The last time Green Bay played Detroit, Adams left the game with an injury. Adams has been on a tear since his return and will look to continue his great play in week 14.
