The New Orleans Saints enter the Monday night football matchup against the Green Bay Packers with a 5-9 record. The Saints have nothing to play for against the Packers except for pride. Green Bay is 10-4 this season and they are looking to clinch a playoff spot with a win on Monday night football against New Orleans.

The Saints have experienced a lot during the 2024 season after there was a lot of promise for them early in the year. New Orleans could very well look a lot different for the 2025 season.

With the Atlanta Falcons beating the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, the Saints are officially eliminated from playoff contention this NFL season. Only the Falcons or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can win the NFC South this season.

Atlanta and Tampa Bay are both 8-7 this year, but the Falcons own the tiebreaker over the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay had a bad loss on Sunday night football against the Dallas Cowboys by a final score of 26-24.

One of the things that has hurt the New Orleans Saints this season is quarterback Derek Carr getting injured. The Saints’ defense has also not performed well. Alvin Kamara has a groin injury and will not play against the Green Bay Packers. Chris Olave also has a head injury and has been ruled out for the game for the Saints on Monday night.

REMEMBER WHEN THESE FRAUDS STARTED CLAIMING THE LOMBARDI AFTER STARTING 2-0🤣🫵

Thought them boys was the best team in weeks 2. The way they beat us lmao

    — Se7en (@Snappel2024) December 23, 2024

For the first two weeks of the NFL season, the New Orleans Saints offense looked like it was going to be one of the best all season long until the Philadelphia Eagles figured it out in Week 3. New Orleans struggled after that and it eventually led to the firing of head coach Dennis Allen.  With the Saints being eliminated, there is a chance that they won’t perform well against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night football also.
