The Green Bay Packers Can Steal a Prestigious Record Away from the Chicago Bears in 2022

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears makeup the oldest rivalry in the NFL. It is also one of the oldest in all professional sports. The Bears were founded in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys before moving to Chicago in 1921. The were renamed the Bears in 1922. In every season of their existence, the Bears have ended the year as the NFL’s all-time winningest franchise. That, however, is likely to change in 2022. The Green Bay Packers are just two wins behind the Bears all-time. If Green Bay starts the season 2-0, they could surpass Chicago as early as Week Three.

The Packers vs Bears Matchup in Week Two Has High Stakes

The Green Bay Packers play the Minnesota Vikings in Week One of the 2022 NFL season. The Chicago Bears play the San Francisco 49ers. If the Packers win their matchup and the Bears fall to the 49ers, the Packers versus Bears Week Two game on Sunday Night Football will be one for the ages. With a win, Green Bay could tie the Bears for the most wins in NFL history.

The Packers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week Three, which would be a challenging game to win for the out-right record. However, regardless of how early it happens in the season, Green Bay should end 2022 as the NFL’s all-time winningest team.
