Milwaukee Brewers made the switch from Seattle to Milwaukee in 1970, and since then, they’ve gone from strength to strength. The Brewers are famed for their loyal and passionate fanbase, and one thing the supporters can all agree on is which players have made a name for themselves while playing for the team.

The 4 Greatest Milwaukee Brewers Players of All Time

    Robin Yount

There is no doubt that Robin Yount is the best Milwaukee Brewers player of all time, and that is likely never to change. If you were placing bets on baseball games online, backing the Brewers when Yount was in the team made a ton of sense. In terms of what Yount achieved, winning the MVP award in Major League Baseball in two different positions is a feat that is unlikely to be repeated, putting Yount in a league of his own. From shortstop to centerfield, Yount could do it all and then some, which is why he’s also in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

    Paul Molitor

Everyone recognises Yount as the greatest Brewers player of all time, but in no way does that mean Paul Molitor’s achievements should be forgotten about. And they’re not. In the eyes of most, Molitor is the second-best Brewers player, which, when you consider what he achieved, makes sense. During his time in Milwaukee, he was selected five times as an All-Star and currently ranks second in terms of games played and walks. Like Yount, Molitor was also inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

    Cecil Cooper

It’s pretty obvious, but if Yount and Molitor hadn’t starred for the Brewers, then it would be Cecil Cooper’s name up in lights. One thing you can definitely say about Cooper is that in terms of being the complete player, there is no player betting fitting of the tag. During the early 80s, the Brewers’ success was largely down to Cooper, which tells you everything you need to know. As well as being an exceptional defender, Cooper could also hit, and it’s this combination that made him one of the most rounded players Major League Baseball has ever seen. As well as collecting two prestigious Gold Glove Awards, Cooper is also a five-time All-Star, which, again, is good going.

    Ryan Braun

Ryan Braun’s inclusion is an interesting one, but we feel he’s worthy of a place because he undoubtedly had a great career and spent fourteen years excelling for the Brewers. So, you have all this good stuff on the one hand. Of course, on the other hand, he was caught using steroids, which is never a good look. But, in terms of what he achieved in a positive light, Braun is a six-time All-Star and bagged five consecutive Silver Slugger Awards. It’s also worth noting that Braun became the face of the franchise and remained the face for over a decade, which shows just how integral he was in helping the Brewers back to the big time.
