Thanasis Antetokounmpo has logged minutes in 15 of the Bucks’ 30 games this season. He has scored seven points and grabbed 14 rebounds in those games. He has also gone scoreless in 12 of those 15 games he played.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo leads league in most games played without scoring a point

With 12 games played with no points this season, Thanasis leads the NBA in most games played this season where he did not score a point. Four other players have played 11 games this season with no points scored: Matisse Thybulle and Paul Reed from Philadelphia, and Josh Okogie (Phoenix) and Justin Jackson (Boston).

Thanasis is in his fifth season in the NBA, his fourth with the Bucks. In his career with Milwaukee, he has played in 62 career games where he did not score a point. That ranks tied for 8th on the Bucks’ all-time list.

Cunningham, ranked second on the list above, has the Bucks’ single-season record for most games played without a point scored. He went scoreless in 34 games in 1972-73. In the other 38 games he played that season, he tallied 157 points.

NBA career list of games played where player went scoreless

Two players are tied for the top spot in the NBA list of players who had the most games played without a point scored. Charles Jones (1983-84 to 1997-98) and DeSagana Diop (2001-02 to 2012-13) both had 259 games in their careers where they got into a game but did not score a point. Greg Kite (256) Jud Buechler (256), Tree Rollins (236), and Manute Bol (220) complete the Top 6 players in the NBA in this category.

For the record, Giannis has three career games (of 681 games played) that he played where he did not score a point. It happened twice in January of 2014, and once in 2017.
