The Rutgers Scarlet Knights faced the Wisconsin Badgers at home on Monday night in another BIG10 Conference game. From the opening tip-off, Wisconsin controlled the game against Rutgers. The Badgers won the game over the Scarlet Knights 75-63.
With the win, the Wisconsin Badgers improved to 12-3 overall on the season and 2-2 in BIG10 Conference play. As for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, they are only 8-7 overall this season and they are 1-3 in BIG10 Conference play. Rutgers has been one of the biggest disappointments in college basketball this season.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights Only Have One Player Score In Double Figures Against the Wisconsin Badgers
The Scarlet Knights have been underachieving this season under head coach Steve Pikiell. They only had one player score in double figures on Monday night against the Badgers. Tyson Acuff was the only player who scored in double figures for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. He scored 17 points, grabbed two rebounds, and recorded two assists.
Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper are both projected to be top picks in the 2025 NBA Draft. Ace Bailey scored nine points, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded one assist. Dylan Harper was held scoreless in 15 minutes of game action. He grabbed four rebounds and recorded one assist. Harper going scoreless against the Wisconsin Badgers is deeper than just a player issue.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have not been well coached all season long. Rutgers should be one of the top teams in the BIG10 Conference and not a bottom feeder in the conference.

Pikiell is a HORRIFIC coach. Two top 5 nba lottery picks, lose by 10+ at home to Wisconsin. They will be lucky to beat Nebraska in their upcoming games. Not going to March Madness. He cannot rotate his players effectively. Lost his team last year.

This could have been a magical season for the Scarlet Knights with Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. Instead, they will be lucky to finish at .500 this season. As for the Wisconsin Badgers, there is no drama surrounding that basketball program, and Scarlet Knights fans are jealous that Wisconsin is good this season and Rutgers is not.
