Shams Charania is Back at It, Suggests Giannis Antetokounmpo Isn’t Satisfied With Team’s 2025 Offseason Moves and Monitoring Situation for the Future

The Milwaukee Bucks are banking on Giannis Antetokounmpo this season according to some analysts as they react to the most recent moves they made. The biggest one yet is them replacing Brook Lopez with a younger Myles Turner.

The 29-year-old center was signed for four years by the Bucks worth $107 million. He is just coming off an NBA finals appearance with Indiana Pacers and lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The team also retained their young guys – Gary Trent Jr. and Kevin Porter Jr. – and extended core pieces like Bobby Portis and Taurean Prince. They also let Damian Lillard go in a shocking move that stunned the league.

These are players Antetokounmpo thrived with the Bucks during a stretch last season. They did struggle early but were able to have moments were they able to string seven to nine straight wins multiple times.

The team even won the NBA Cup with this core. Their end to the season, however, was marred by injuries, especially the injury to Lillard.

Shams Charania suggests Giannis Antetokounmpo is not satisfied

There were reports that Antetokounmpo himself recruited Turner to the team. This is something he has done before when they got Portis who claimed that it he texted the Greek Freak to come to Milwaukee.

Charania is still not convinced. Citing unnamed sources, he said Antetokounmpo is still monitoring the offseason moves they are making.

Shams: “Giannis will continue to evaluate not just what happened today, but what’s happening all offseason in Milwaukee. Sources tell me that it’s more than just tonight. At the end of the offseason, my understanding is Giannis will ask himself…can I win a championship?” pic.twitter.com/dOnpZT8Oyq

Charania just would not let his early May report about Giannis go despite all the evidences and quotes that the Bucks superstar will stay with the team.

He once said while in Brazil that he wants to go back to the Finals with the Bucks. Portis said he bleeds green. Doc Rivers slammed all these trade rumors involving his star player saying they are ridiculous.

Antetokounmpo even shaded him for false reporting.
