The Green Bay Packers were eliminated by the Chicago Bears from the NFL playoffs in the NFC Wild Card Round, but if head coach Matt LaFleur can score a piece of revenge against Ben Johnson and company this week.

According to Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay, who has strong ties with LaFleur, the Packers mentor has been watching tapes together with LaFleur in preparation for LA’s upcoming NFC Divisional Round matchup against the Bears.

“What would you guess? No, you know what, we watch the tape, we do our work, and Matt is a very close friend of mine,” McVay told reporters in a recent press conference.

McVay gets a hand from Packers’ LaFleur before NFC Divisional Round

Meanwhile, here are some of the many reactions from fans online to what McVay said:

“Yea maybe get some tips from MLF about game management with a lead and kickin at Soldier Field.,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Your closest friends are your best enemies”

From a commenter: “Your Guna need all the help you can get”

“Matt played the Bears 3 times and lost twice and it could have been 3 times. Please, take all the help you can get.,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “Salty enough to help a rival team, wow, Johnson is rent free in LaFleuers head.”

Said another: “Packers and Rams teaming up to plot the downfall of the Bears???As a Bears fan, this is a very flattering reality. 🐻⬇️”

The Rams and the Bears did not meet in the regular season, but McVay can get plenty of useful information about facing Chicago by picking LaFleur’s brain. The Packers and the Bears faced off three times in the 2025 campaign, with Green Bay losing twice, including in the aforementioned wild-card round showdown.
