Seahawks own rare distinction in Aaron Rodgers’ career going back to Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers flashed his vintage form in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL regular season, when he led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 34-32 victory against his former team, the New York Jets, on the road. In that game, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer passed for 244 passing yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions on 22-of-30 pass completions.

In Week 2’s home game against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, however, the 41-year-old Rodgers was humbled by the Seattle Seahawks, as the Steelers absorbed a 31-17 loss at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

With the win over the Steelers, the Seahawks have become just the first team ever to earn a win against all three of Rodgers-led teams in the NFL.

“The Seahawks today became the first team to beat Aaron Rodgers as a Packer, Jet and Steeler,” Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times shared in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday.

The Steelers struggled to keep up with Seattle’s offense. Pittsburgh was outgained by the Seahawks, 395-267. Rodgers and company went just 5-for-15 on third downs.

One issue so far for Rodgers during his stint with the Steelers has been the quality of his pass protection. He has been sacked seven times through two games. The four-time NFL Most Valuable Player also threw two interceptions against Seattle.

Despite the loss to Seattle, Rodgers still has a winning 7-5 record in his career against the Seahawks.

“It’s week two,” Rodgers said after the loss to Seattle, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). “It mean like, it’s good for us. Last week, probably there was some people feeling pretty good because everybody outside the building was talking about how great we were on offense. … That’s the league. You can’t ride the highs or the lows.”

Pittsburgh can bounce back from that defeat when Rodgers and the Steelers visit the New England Patriots in Foxborough in Week 3.
