The Milwaukee Bucks have quite the list of candidates for their head coach position. This is a decision they cannot afford to get wrong as they have a roster that is ready to win a championship now. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a top-five player in the NBA and the rest of the roster has players that are ready to win. Interviews have started and one coach according to reports, “left a strong impression”.
Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Candidate Scott Brooks Interviews Well
According to Jake Fisher of Yahoo Sports, the interview with Scott Brooks went very well. A source said that he left a strong impression and may now be amongst the front-runners for the position. Brooks is no stranger to handling superstar players as he successfully coached Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden in Oklahoma City. While he does not have a title under his belt, he does have a Finals appearance. The Bucks are apparently happy with what they heard from Brooks in the interview.

One Of Many Interviews
At this point, it is impossible to figure out what direction the Bucks are going. Every day it seems that three more names are being added to the list for consideration. Even coaches that are under contract with other teams are getting some buzz. I was previously critical of Brooks as a candidate but let me try to spin it in a positive way. I don’t think he would be a detriment to the team. He may not be a huge asset but I don’t think he actively hurts the team in ways that I could see other candidates doing. Ultimately, we are not in the interview room so if the Milwaukee Bucks like what they heard out of Brooks, we as fans have to trust the best decision is being made.
The Bucks are balancing moving quickly while also doing their due diligence. They cannot screw this up. It is a decision they have to get right.
