The fate of Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Milwaukee Bucks ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline remains a mystery. Amid the rumors, Milwaukee turned heads with a skid-snapping 131-115 victory at Fiserv Forum over the visiting Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Among those who led the charge for Milwaukee was Ryan Rollins, who finished the contest with 21 points on 8/21 shooting from the field while also dishing out 10 dimes and grabbing seven rebounds in a near-triple-double performance.

It was another reminder that whatever happens with Antetokounmpo, they have someone special in Rollins, who could be a future cornerstone of the franchise.

Bucks’ Rollins is a leader in the making

Rollins is still just 23 years old, but he is showing the maturity of a veteran. After the win over the Bulls, the former second-round pick by the Atlanta Hawks opened up about the process of becoming a leader.

“Yeah for sure. Just more opportunity,” Rollins said (via Bucks Lead). More on my plate. So as I do that, I know my voice needs to improve as well and just grow. A lot of these guys are open to that and just me getting more comfortable, me getting more confident in my situation and who I am. My voice will continue to get stronger.”

Rollins was also asked about how leadership should be manifested when times are not good.

“Talking. Leading by action. Going out there and setting the tone on both sides of the floor. Just leading by action. Having everybody be empowered and doing the right thing,” the former Toledo Rocker star said.

On the season, Rollins is averaging 16.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, while making 46.4 percent of his attempt from the floor.
