The Milwaukee Bucks enter the 2024-2025 season with a lot of questions rather than answers. As a team with high expectations entering this season, many have wondered if they have reached their ceiling with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard at the helm.
The Milwaukee Bucks are committed to building a title contender around them not only for this season but for years to come. Milwaukee has flamed out of the first round of the NBA Playoffs in the last two seasons and they hope for a different result in 2024-2025.
ESPN’s Zach Lowe Makes Interesting Statement About the Milwaukee Bucks Entering the 2024-2025 Season
ESPN Zach Lowe mentioned:
“”it’s hard to find people who are optimistic”
This is concerning the Milwaukee Bucks for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Lowe also added on The Lowe Podcast:
“It’s very easy to find people around the league who are like, it’s over. Just move on. Like start thinking about the next steps of the Bucks franchise, whatever, transition.”
They need to give Antetokounmpo and Lillard together another year. The star players for the Milwaukee Bucks last year were injured in the playoff series against the Indiana Pacers. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the entire series against Indiana and Damian Lillard also missed a couple of games in that series.
Yes, the Bucks may have an older roster, but they have also had bad luck with injuries in the postseason. If they don’t get past the first round of the NBA Playoffs in 2025 and they are both healthy, then it may be time to revisit this issue.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Been Mentioned In Trade Rumors Already
Very recently, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been mentioned in trade rumors. Some of the teams that he has been linked to as of late are the Dallas Mavericks, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Golden State Warriors. Before Antetokounmpo signed his contract extension, the New York Knicks were also linked to him.
Even though he is not a free agent until for a few more seasons, the trade talks for Antetokounmpo leaving the Milwaukee Bucks will not go away. It is not a surprise that some people think that the Bucks have hit their ceiling and may need a reboot. There will be a clearer picture of this organization once the 2024-2025 season concludes.
