The Houston Rockets faced the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week. Houston is one of the most improved teams in the NBA and they could be looking to make a splash at the NBA trade deadline. One player who seems to be floating around in trade rumors is Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo has been listed in many mock trades. He is one of the best players in the NBA and has been very dominant this season for the Bucks.
The Athletic Reports That the Houston Rockets Do Not Want To Trade Core Players For Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo
With the Rockets improving this season under head coach Ime Udoka, some are wondering if they are going to make a big splash or not at some point this season. However, Kelly Iko, who is an NBA Reporter for The Athletic, said this on his Twitter account on Wednesday:
“The Rockets are not interested in breaking up their core for Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, sources tell
. Houston, sitting at 10-5 and a game out of first in the West, remains focused on developing its young players as a collective.”
It is interesting and not surprising that the Rockets would not want to trade some of its young players on the roster for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Some of the key young players on Houston’s roster are Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason, and Jalen Green. Houston has some other very good players on the roster but they do not want to mess up the chemistry and they are heading in the right direction.

The Houston Rockets will have to make interesting business decisions with the roster at some point with its young core. However, it is good for them that they will not be taking a swing at trading for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
