Earlier this week Hub Arkush went on a radio show apperance and said he had ruled out voting for Aaron Rodgers as the league MVP. However, his reasoning was what drew attention. He said Rodgers is a “bad guy” and “a jerk.” He also said that he hurt his team in the offseason so he shouldn’t win the award. Arkush is one of the 50 voters for the MVP. Rodgers was asked about Arkush not voting for him and he didn’t hold back.

    “He’s a bum.”

Aaron Rodgers when asked about Arkush

Rodgers clearly took exception to Arkush’s comments on not voting for him as the MVP. He stated that Arkush doesn’t know him and “no one knew who he was probably til yesterday’s comments.” He went on to say that Arkush’s problem with him is that he isn’t vaccinated. Rodgers also said that Arkush making up his mind before the season even started should “exclude any future votes.”

Aaron Rodgers fires back at Hub Arkush, who said yesterday he won't vote Rodgers for MVP: I think he’s a bum. An absolute bum. … His problem is I’m not vaccinated…. Maybe just for this season make it the Most Vaccinated Player."pic.twitter.com/Y3oh6PKz1n

    Arkush’s Apology

Arkush caught wind of Rodgers’ rant and issued an apology. He went to say that he was not supposed to discuss who he was voting for and doing so was irresponsible. However, Arkush did not say he would now vote for Rodgers. It would not matter who he is voting for if he had not gone to say he wouldn’t vote for him because of reasons not related to his play. It’s worth noting that Arkush is a member of the Chicago media.
