Robert Griffin III Goes On Massive Rant On Why Packers Will Be Successful In 2022

The Green Bay Packers have had one of the most memorable off-seasons in recent memory.  Trading away Davante Adams. Losing Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency.  Losing the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator in the same off-season.  Resigning an all-pro cornerback, an all-pro middle linebacker, and pro bowl cornerback.  On top of all that, extending one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time for possibly three more years. And that is not even all of it. However Robert Griffin made it clear that he thinks Green Bay has been set up for success in 2022. Here’s why.

    Robert Griffin’s Rant:

Robert Griffin took to Twitter to explain why he thinks the Green Bay Packers have what it takes to go all the way in 2022. It was a rant of six tweets, and he was very passionate.

    Tweet #1:

The Packers went into the lab and REWORKED THEIR FORMULA FOR SUCCESS this off-season. In 2 of the last 3 years, the Cheeseheads got shredded by the 49ers in the playoffs WITHOUT ELITE QB PLAY. So when you can’t beat them, BE THEM.

    Tweet #2:

The 49ers haven’t needed ELITE QB PLAY to beat the Packers in the playoffs. In the 2019 Conference Championship Game, the 49ers won by rushing for 285 yards and Jimmy G threw for 77 yards with only 8 pass attempts!!! So now It’s not about Elite QB play for the Packers.

    Tweet #3:

The Packers have shifted their focus to running the ball, stopping the run and playing ELITE LEVEL DEFENSE. Good thing they have a strong O-line, Aaron Jones and Mr Mcthickems himself AJ Dillion for the run game. Trading Davante Adams confirmed this shift in focus.

    Tweet #4:

After trading Davante Adams the Packers didn’t take the bait of drafting a receiver in the 1st round. They know it took Adams 3 years to become Rodger’s favorite target and 5 years to notch a 1,000 yard season. It’s likely they don’t have that kind of time left with A Rod

    Tweet #5:

Instead, the Packers drafted a pair of defensive studs from Georgia in Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt in the 1st round. Adding to an already STACKED defense dripping with talent on all 3 levels with Kenny Clark, Jaire Alexander and De’Vondre Campbell leading the way

    Tweet #6:

The Packers are aware Aaron Rodgers won a Super Bowl with the #2 ranked defense and learned from their losses to the 49ers. They will get better QB play from Rodgers than the 49ers got from Jimmy G. If the defense plays to it’s potential, that’s the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

    Does he have a point?

The Green Bay Packers shifting from an aerial assault offenses to a run heavy and elite defense type of team, is exactly on point.  Green Bay suffered a massive loss with Adams and MVS departing, but not an insurmountable one.  A strong offensive line, running game, and smart quarterback play, is exactly how you recover from that type of loss.  It will be interesting to see the ratio of run : pass this year.  Either way Green Bay certainly has the tools to be successful with their current roster.  It’s acknowledged throughout the league as well.
