Rick Pitino has the St. John’s Red Storm fanbase believing this season in college basketball. They are one of the best stories in the sport and there is a chance that St. John’s could be a force to be reckoned with come March Madness.

The Red Storm has a chance to have one of its best seasons ever. On Tuesday night, they faced the Marquette Golden Eagles. Marquette has been one of the best teams in the conference over the last few seasons.
St. John’s Red Storm Head Coach Rick Pitino Makes Stunning Comments After Win Against the Marquette Golden Eagles

Pitino spoke to Bill Raftery after the game, who called the game on Fox Sports 1. The Red Storm only won the game by six points (70-64) against the Golden Eagles. However. St. John’s could have won the game by more against Marquette had they hit their free throws.
They only went 17-of-31 from the free-throw line. Rick Pitino said:
“Yeah, you know, inside I want to kill myself. Outside I say that’s okay, we’ll make the next one.”
This was a very interesting comment by the Red Storm head coach. Free throws are one of the pivotal parts of college basketball. Not hitting free throws has come back to hurt teams, especially when it gets to the NCAA Tournament.

This guy might actually be the goat college coach. A program doesn’t exist that he wouldn’t be able to turn into a winner 🔥
