Luke Fickell has hit the ground running during his short time at Wisconsin and people are taking notice. The 2023 class has a ton of hype around it due to the recruiting that Fickell has done. Highlighted by four-star QB Nick Evers, Fickell has added a ton of talent both offensively and defensively. The coaching staff has also turned their attention to the 2024 class where they have cracked the Top 15 for an intriguing wide receiver.
Virginia Athlete Mekhai White Says Wisconsin Is In Top 15
“It was very exciting,” White said. “They’ve got a new staff. I’m very interested. I feel like they’re gonna put Wisconsin back on top where they used to be. The offense is changing. It’s going to be air-raid, throwing the ball. “It’s a school I will really look into.”
Other member’s of Wisconsin’s coaching staff has been recruiting as well. Wide Receivers coach Mike Brown is the one who announced the offer. Brown had also pursued the three-star athlete while at Cincinnati.
“He likes that I’m versatile,” said White. “I can play inside, outside wherever. He likes that I can high point the football, go up and get it.”
That isn’t all. New Badgers quarterback commit Mabrey Mettauer also reached out to the wide receiver.
“He reached out the other day,” said White. “He said, ‘Come join me, be a dynamic duo. He says they’re gonna have an explosive offense.”
