Per The Athletic, teams are monitoring Terry McLaurin’s contract status in case an opening to acquire the star WR emerges. Terry McLaurin has established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFC. Over the first three years of his NFL career he has accumulated 222 receptions, 3,090 yards, and 16 touchdowns. He has done so with Case Keenum, Dwayne Haskins, Colt McCoy, Alex Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Taylor Heinicke at quarterback.

Terry McLaurin is entering the final year of his rookie contract. He could be the next wide receiver to get a huge pay day. If the Washington Commanders want to lock him up long term it will likely cost over 20 million per year. Ben Standig of the Athletic reported that “sources on both sides anticipate intensified extensions talks for McLaurin starting around or after the NFL draft.”
Terry McLaurin Appreciation Post:
I think a few months away from football made you forget how good of a player McLaurin truly is.
– He has had a different Week 1 starter in each of his 3 seasons
– 10 QBs have thrown the ball to himImagine him with consistency. #Commanders pic.twitter.com/RW4xta0eRz

Ron Rivera has been vocal about not entertaining any calls about McLaruin. However if a deal cannot get done, the trade market for wide receivers is at an all-time high. Washington is not exactly in a “win now” mode. Getting substantial draft capital for a wide receiver would bode well for their future.
This is yet another true #1 wide receiver that Green Bay could make a push for this off-season. The other big name wide receiver names that the Packers could target are DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, and Bradin Cooks. Green Bay pulling the trigger on one of these names would be huge for a Super Bowl run.
