This year’s NFL Draft will be host in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2022, the Draft will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kansas City will get the honor in 2023. A recent report now states that Green Bay is among one of three finalists to host the NFL Draft in 2024.
New from JSOnline and PackersNews: The Green Bay Packers are one of three teams in the running to host the NFL draft. They could get an answer in May. https://t.co/ncLBgOzb5m #Packers

While addressing reporters, Mark Murphys stated, “I feel confident. I think we’ll be able to make a really strong case (for the draft). The criteria the league looks at, it’s not as set as something like the Super Bowl. The new Resch Expo will be really helpful to us in that effort as well as Titletown. By 2024, Titletown is going to look a lot different than it does now and be even more attractive as a destination.”
The Packers began their bid to host a NFL Draft in 2015. Recently, they were named finalist for the 2022 NFL Draft. However, that honor was given to Las Vegas. Las Vegas was due to host the 2020 Draft, but COVID-19 forced the event to be virtual, as with so many events around the country over the past year.
But That’s Not All
In addition to trying to host the NFL Draft, the Packers are also bidding to host a Big Ten Championship Game sometime between 2023-2030. The game is currently played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. However, the Big Ten is considering hosting the event at other locations scattered throughout its conference.
These developments are an indication of the great effects the building projects around Titletown are having. Even though Green Bay is not a large market, it is now in consideration for major sporting events and concerts. Just ten years ago, there was absolutely no way the Packers could even dream of hosting the NFL Draft, let alone a Conference Championship game. All that seems to be changing now. After falling short for the 2022 Draft, perhaps 2024 will be their year.
