The Milwaukee Bucks could be making some changes to the roster at some point despite showing signs of improvement over the last month. Milwaukee on Tuesday night will face the Oklahoma City Thunder for the NBA Cup.
One player who has not been in the plans of the Bucks at all this season is MarJon Beauchamp. He has played in only 11 games this season for Milwaukee. Beauchamp is averaging 1.6 PPG, 0.8 RPG, and 0.1 APG. Beauchamp was the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Behindthebuckpass.com Thinks That the Milwaukee Bucks Should Trade MarJon Beauchamp For Los Angeles Clippers Center Mo Bamba At the NBA Trade Deadline
There is no doubt that Bucks general manager Jon Horst will be looking to make a move at the NBA trade deadline this season. Behindthebuckpass.com writer Dalton Sell thinks that Beauchamp should be traded at the deadline. Sell made a list of three players who they should trade him for.
One of the players that was mentioned is Los Angeles Clippers center Mo Bamba. Dalton Sell said:
“Sticking with the thought of the Milwaukee Bucks upgrading at the center spot, Mo Bamba is another name that fits the billing. The former sixth-overall pick hasn’t played a key role for the LA Clippers this season and could offer Milwaukee another big body at the center spot. Again, at the bare minimum, it would be nice to have some insurance behind Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis.
At 26, the 7-foot Bamba is still relatively young and could have good basketball ahead of him. It is still too early to be thinking about Milwaukee’s succession plan for Brook Lopez, but taking a flyer low-risk flyer on someone like Bamba could help them get a head start when assessing possible options. The big man has flashed potential as a floor spacer and solid interior force defensively.”
Bamba this season has played in 11 games for the Los Angeles Clippers. He is averaging 4.6 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 0.7 APG, 1.1 BPG, and 0.7 SPG. Mo Bamba as the backup center to Brook Lopez could be an interesting move for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Could Use a Fresh Start
Is it possible that the Milwaukee Bucks would be giving up on him too soon or does Beauchamp just need a fresh start elsewhere? When Milwaukee drafted him, there was a chance that he could maybe crack the rotation at some point, but he never did.
A.J. Green and other young players on the Milwaukee Bucks roster have surpassed him on the depth chart. However, missing on Beauchamp in the NBA Draft is another whiff for general manager Jon Horst.
