The Wisconsin Badgers coaching staff is starting to look scary good. After Luke Fickell was hired, everyone wondered who he would bring onto his staff. Fickell was already able to attract North Carolina OC Phil Longo to the program. According to reports, it seems that Fickell was able to land another huge hire for his staff. The Badgers are set to hire Cincinnati OC Gino Guidugli as their new TE coach.
According to a source, #Wisconsin is set to hire Gino Guidugli as its new tight ends coach. Nice get for the #Badgers, as Guidugli was in conversation for the offensive coordinator job. https://t.co/DCXfxM1sgv

Badgers Set To Hire Gino Guidugli As TE Coach
This is massive news for the program. Guidugli was in line for many head coaching jobs across college football. He was also on the list for the Wisconsin OC before they finally went with Longo. The fact that Guidugli still decided to come to Wisconsin and coach says a lot about Luke Fickell. He is taking a demotion in order to come be on the coaching staff. This says a lot about the culture that Fickell builds in his programs. Colleagues are willing to take demotions in order to stick with him.

Ripple Effect Of This Hire
This could have a huge effect on the Wisconsin program. First, this coaching staff is shaping up to be an elite one. Currently, there are two offensive coordinators and a former head coach on staff. This could have a significant effect on the development of current players. It also could help on the recruiting front. Since another Cincinnati coach has come over, it is even more possible that Cincinnati de-commits could flip to Wisconsin. The impact of this hire can not be overstated.
If the Badgers are able to secure Gino Guidugli as their TE coach, it would be huge for the program. After a wave of de-commits, the number of players committing to the program has increased in the last couple of days. Hopefully, this momentum will continue for Fickell and the Badgers program.
