James Durand is officially a Badger
The Wisconsin Badgers are adding some serious blockers to their offense for the 2023 class. Earlier in the morning, the Badgers announced that three-star tight end Tucker Ashcraft signed his NLI with the Badgers. Not long after, Wisconsin reported James Durand would be coming to Madison.
According to a statement by the Badgers, Durand signed his NLI Wednesday morning.

Durand visited the Badgers in May. He committed to the program earlier in the summer. Durand is a three-star interior offensive lineman, per 247 Sports. 247 Sports considers him to be a four-star composite athlete. The Arizona native will be a big body on the Badgers’ offensive line. He’s listed as six-foot-four, 280 pounds.
Durand didn’t seem to waiver when the Badgers fired head coach Paul Chryst midseason. He will now be playing for Wisconsin in new offensive coordinator Phil Longo’s system.
