With the 2023 schedule finally being announced Thursday, it’s time to do what we do best: picks, prognostications and predictions. I asked a few of my fellow Packers writers at the site to join me with their own game-by-game W/L prediction, with some additional commentary as well: Robin Adams (@theotherRobin19), Tyler Schisel (@tshiz1434) and Chris Gallagher (@ChrisGally06).
We’ll start with the first half of game below. Be on the look-out for part two of the schedule dropping tomorrow!
Week 1 – @ Bears
Dan Kotnik: W – Even if Love struggles, the defense will do enough against this team
Robin Adams: W – Bold Prediction: Jordan Love yells, “I’m the captain now!” to the fans
Tyler Schisel: W – Jordan Love proves all the haters wrong
Chris Gallagher: W – Jordan Love enters the oldest rivarly in football and plays well tossing two touchdown passes, but its the defense that stands tall with a late interception of Justin Fields to preserve the victory and status quo in the NFC North
Week 2 – @ Falcons
Dan Kotnik: W – I might be able to beat the Falcons playing quarterback
Robin Adams: W – Bold Prediction: Joe Barry poops on Jerry Gray’s car
Tyler Schisel: W
Chris Gallagher: W –Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons potent ground attack provide an early test for Joe Barry’s defense. However, they get enough stops in the end to secure the win

Week 3 – Saints
Dan Kotnik: W – No way Jordan will lose his first game at Lambeau
Robin Adams: W – Bold Prediction: Jordan Love is crowned King of the North
Tyler Schisel: L – Talks of Jordan Love being a bust start
Chris Gallagher: W – The Saints offense should be better after they signed longtime Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in the offseason. However, the veteran signal caller tossed a career high 14 interceptions last season and should provide plenty of opportunities for a strong Green Bay secondary that should be fired up to play in the home opener.
Week 4 – Lions (TNF)
Dan Kotnik: L – The Lions have become Packer kryptonite recently. It’ll stay close but I think this is primed to be the first loss of the season.
Robin Adams: L – Bold Prediction: Lose by 1; Lions get false sense of security
Tyler Schisel: W – Jared Goofball throws 4 picks, 2 to JA
Chris Gallagher: L – The Detroit Lions come to town on a short week for the first of five prime time games. After a historically bad season on defense a year ago, their revamped back end forces a few turnovers in this one to help out what figures to be one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL once again.

Week 5 – @ Raiders (MNF)
Dan Kotnik: W – Christian Watson and Davante Adams go absolutely banana sandwich and the Packers win a high-scoring affair
Robin Adams: L – Bold Prediction: Davante goes for 150 and 3 TDs
Tyler Schisel: L – Same prediction as Robin
Chris Gallagher: L – Davante Adams sqaures off against his old team for the first time ever as the longtime Packer torches the secondary. Josh Jacobs has a big day on the ground to help the Raiders survive a shootout.
Week 7 – @ Broncos
Dan Kotnik: W – *Insert Patrick Star roasting Russell Wilson clip here*
Robin Adams: W – Bold Prediction: The Packers walk out with the Super Bowl XXXII trophy
Tyler Schisel: L – Russ goes off
Chris Gallagher: L – The Broncos offense should look a lot different than last year bye week 7. Denver’s stout defense causes the first true poor performance by Jordan Love.
Week 8 – Vikings
Dan Kotnik: W – I think the Vikings will struggle early on, but could be more dangerous later in the season. Packers can pull it out at home, though.
Robin Adams: W – Bold Prediction: Kirk Cousins throws 4 INTs
Tyler Schisel: W
Chris Gallagher: W – The Vikings should undergo a significant regression after winning 11 of their 13 games by one score a year ago and if they choose to trade running back Dalvin Cook. While Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will give Green Bay’s defense all they can handle, Love makes enough plays against a bad Minnesota secondary to snap the three game losing streak.
