Green Bay Packers starting cornerback Rasul Douglas made one funny and one serious comment regarding two former teammates who signed with the Chicago Bears this offseason. Former Packers joining the Bears on offense became a trend starting in the 2022 offseason when former Packers’ quarterback coach Luke Getsy was named the Bears offensive coordinator.
Former Packers offensive lineman Lucas Patrick and wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown joined the Bears in 2022. Tight ends Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis signed with the Bears this offseason. They’ll see many familiar faces in Week 1 when they play the Packers.

Rasul Douglas sends message to former Green Bay Packers teammates
According to Ryan Wood of USA Today, Douglas discussed playing the new Bears tight ends on Sunday. He made a joke that he wished to hit Lewis after a play. Douglas said he honestly is looking forward to seeing Douglas and Lewis on Sunday.
“Those two are our guys,” Douglas said.
Rasul Douglas has one wish for Sunday’s opener: “I’m going to try to hit Marcedes after the play.”
In all seriousness, Douglas says he’s looking forward to seeing former #Packers teammates Mercedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan in Chicago. “Those two are our guys,” he said.

They were the Packers guys.
The Chicago Bears have sent a few players the Packers’ way

The Bears and Packers have seen many players switch sides in the rivalry. The Packers had two starters from the Bears play key roles in Green Bay last season.
Safety Adrian Amos was a captain for the Packers in 2022. Pat O’Donnell was a reliable leg as the Packers’ punter. Both players are no longer with the Packers for the 2023 regular season.
It’ll be interesting to see how Lewis and Tonyan respond to the Week 1 game on their new team. Packers players weren’t very excited to learn the news Lewis wasn’t being retained in Green Bay and would sign with their divisional rival.
