The Packers’ wide receiver room has seen big changes this season. The team lost Davante Adams and MVS this offseason and had to fill those holes quickly. They went out and drafted three wide receivers while holding on to Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard. They also added Sammy Watkins. The Packers started offseason activities and veteran receiver Randall Cobb had some praise for second-round pick Christian Watson.
Randall Cobb on rookie WR Christian Watson: "He has the total package. Just being around him for the past week and seeing some of the things he can do, he has all the tools. He's very gifted." #Pakcers

What to Expect From Watson
The Packers traded up to the top of the second round in order to snag Watson. He has some big shoes to fill if the Packers expect him to be the number one wideout in 2022. Realistically, it’s unlikely that he will be able to put up the numbers Davante Adams did. However, with Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb in the same room as him, he will have plenty of leadership. Cobb also shared the advice he gave to Watson.
Cobb said he drove down to practice with Watson on Tuesday and reminded him: "Just enjoy the process and have fun with it, don’t get so caught up in your head and press and think that it’s going to happen overnight. Because it never does."

Watson has a long way to go until he is a proven number one option. The good thing for him is he doesn’t have to be that guy right away. Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard can both take the load off of him. In that time, Watson can develop into a real threat and be ready when his time comes.
