Quay Walker apologized for his actions Sunday night
Quay Walker had another viral moment on Sunday Night Football. For the second time on primetime national television, Walker was ejected from a game for shoving a member of the opposite team. On Sunday, Walker pushed a Detroit Lions training staff member as they were trying to render aid to an injured player. Walker apologized for his actions after the game.
His conduct reflected poorly on the Packers. But the ejection and penalty from the shove also cost the Packers during the game. The Lions scored a go-ahead touchdown on that drive following Walker’s action on the drive.
Head coach Matt LaFleur was visibly frustrated with Walker after the incident. Cameras during the game caught LaFleur yelling at Walker to be smart.
Can lip read Matt LaFleur easily on the NBC cameras from the sideline.

"Be f—ing smart," he told Quay Walker. "Be smart."
Bad time for a dead-ball mistake for the rookie, who was just disqualified.
Following the game, LaFleur said Walker’s two ejections this season were unacceptable and something that the head coach had never seen.
Quay Walker took to Twitter late Sunday night to atone for his conduct on Sunday night. In a series of Tweets, Walker took full accountability for his actions and explained that he was upset at himself in the tunnel following his ejection:
“I want to apologize publicly about what happened Sunday night. I reacted off of my emotions again and take full responsibility of making another stupid decision. Since then I’ve questioned myself on why did I do what I did when the trainer was doing his job!! I was wrong!!
I understand I have to face everything that comes with the decision I’ve made and I’m definitely paying for it now.
Also to explain my frustration in the tunnel. I wasn’t upset about being kicked out, I just knew I messed up again and was wrong for what I did and couldn’t believe I did it again. To the Detroit lions and to the entire training staff including the person I did that too.I’m sorry”

Hopefully, next season Quay Walker will show more maturity on the field in emotional and high-pressure situations. It was a costly learning experience, but one he can overcome in the future.
