Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Prediction
The pick for the next Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals is none other than former New Orleans Saints coach, Sean Payton.
According to reports, the Cardinals have been monitoring Payton’s desire to return to coaching for most of the 2022-23 season, perhaps heating up their interest when the Cards’ season began to go downhill, especially following the season-ending injury to franchise QB, Kyler Murray.
Speaking of the 2019 number one overall pick, Murray could be precisely the reason Payton decided to select the Cardinals over other expected suitors in the form of the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. Another reason the Cards could be the front-runners for Payton is due to the fact that the reported compensation the New Orleans Saints are requesting, is a first-round pick + additional draft capital. The Denver Broncos just traded nearly all of their current and future draft picks for Russell Wilson, this past off-season and the Indianapolis Colts have the fourth-overall pick, which they’d almost guaranteed not give up for a coach, which could very well put the Cardinals in the driver’s seat to acquire Payton’s services.
