Tykee Smith in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Smith is projected as a third-round pick. As with many of the Georgia prospects, he sneaks into some higher rounds in mock drafts due to the pedigree of the Bulldogs’ program. Below is a list of mock drafts and where they have Smith going.
- Steelers Nation – Second round: Steelers
- Drafttek – Third round
- 33rd team – Third round
Would Tykee Smith Fit on the Packers?
Any player from Georgia is in play to be drafted by the Packers. GM Brian Gutekunst has had good luck drafting Bulldogs in the past two years. The cornerback fit is what I am not sure about. Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Rasul Douglas have the top three spots. Depth is never a bad thing but not at the expense of ignoring other needs.
Check Out Another Georgia Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
I do think Smith’s skill set is a good fit for the Packers if he does end up being drafted by them. He would be a good slot corner and if some of his bad habits could get fixed, he could become a ball hawk who could score some defensive touchdowns for the Packers. Any time you get to the mid-rounds, GMs can be a little riskier and take a high upside which Smith has.
