Per NFL Draft Buzz, Moss has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Has the fluidity, speed, and quick feet to defend quickness underneath
- Has the core and lower body strength to escort receivers to the sideline when working deep
- Physical at the line of scrimmage
Weaknesses
- Needs to develop a better understanding of route combinations
- Tends to play conservatively and gives too much cushion when playing off

Riley Moss in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Moss is projected as a fourth-round pick. Cornerback is very deep in the 2023 draft which is going to cause some cornerback prospects to fall to the mid-rounds. This means that some teams are going to get great value with their third and fourth-round picks. Below is a list of mock drafts and where they have Moss being drafted.
- Stripe Hype – Fourth round: Bengals
- Predominantly Orange – Fifth round: Broncos
- Steelers Wire – Seventh round: Steelers
Would Riley Moss Fit on the Packers?
The Packers are fairly solid at the cornerback position. Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Rasul Douglas have the first three slots on the depth chart locked up. However, depth is never a bad thing to have, and later-round picks are often an excuse to take the best player available rather than pick for a need. The skills that Moss has would be a great fit however, I think the Packers probably look more at the safety position rather than cornerback.
Check Out Another Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
Nobody tell Joe Barry that Moss loves to play really far off the receivers! He could demand that GM Brian Gutekunst draft Moss so the Packers could have more cornerbacks play 10+ yards off the receivers on 3rd and 3. All jokes aside, while Moss would be a decent pick up for the Packers, I expect Gutekunst to look elsewhere.
