Derius Davis in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Davis is not in any mock drafts currently. Wide receiver is a very deep position and he is ranked #71 at the position. He is most likely a candidate for signing on a practice squad after the draft. His measurables are interesting as a slot receiver and he can also become involved in the running game.
Would Derius Davis Fit on the Packers?
The Packers do need a slot receiver. Randall Cobb is most likely done with the Packers after this season. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are more outside receivers rather than slot receivers. The catch-and-run nature of the Packers’ offense would also be ideal for Davis’ skill set. His size is a concern but he seems to play bigger than what his measurements say.
Check Out Another TCU Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
With how deep the wide receiver position is, it would be surprising if GM Brian Gutekunst used draft capital on Davis. A wide receiver might also not be in a huge position of need and the Packers might look for some value elsewhere. If he does end up on the Packers, his skill set could be an asset to a team that is looking to build a young receiving corp.
