Anton Harrison Oklahoma Stats
Harrison has been a solid tackle for the Oklahoma Sooners. In his three years as a Sooner he has only given up 4 sacks. In addition he has only given up 4 QB hits. He is a solid tackle that protects the QB.
Anton Harrison Scouting Report
Per NFL Draft Buzz, Harrison has the following strengths and weaknesses:
Strengths
- Consistently keeps his feet sliding while maintaining power when dealing with speed, often sending speed rushers flying past the pocket
- Takes much pride in the run game
- Has the natural power to move defenders at the point of attack
- In pass protection, he flashes a strong initial punch and typically has good hand placement
Weaknesses
- Needs to prove his worth in a straight-ahead running game
- Tends to slip off blocks when going against bigger linemen, and he too often finishes plays on the ground
- Often simply tries to push pass rushers past the pocket

Anton Harrison in Mock Drafts
According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Harrison is a projected late first-round pick. Offensive tackle is always a need for teams. Even the teams with the most elite lines could use another tackle to develop. Harrison gives some good value for late in the first round. He has his deficiencies but with good coaching he can overcome them. Below is a list of mock drafts and where they have Harrison being drafted.
- Yahoo Sports – No. 17 overall: Steelers
- CBS Sports – No. 19 overall: Bucs
- AM NY – No. 28 overall: Broncos
- Gridiron Heroics – No. 30 overall: Chiefs
Would Anton Harrison Fit on the Packers?
The Packers have been known for their ability to draft and develop offensive linemen. That means that basically any offensive linemen is a good fit for the Packers. Harrison is in a tricky spot in the first round. Picking him at no. 15 is probably a little bit of a reach but it is highly doubtful he falls to the middle of the second round. If GM Brian Gutekunst takes him at 15, he must think very highly of Harrison’s skills.
Check Out Another Prospect That Could Fit For the Packers
At some point the Packers will have to address the offensive tackle position. David Bakhtiari played well this year but is in the twilight of his career. They need to start developing his replacement now. I expect the Packers to try and nab a top 10 tackle in this draft whether it is in the first or second round.
